I’m excited to introduce my new client, Katie Bucklein!
I’ve been searching for a fantasy rom-com for ages and I finally found one! Katie’s story is great for fans for RED, WHITE, AND ROYAL BLUE and CARRY ON!
You’ll love WORK OF ART if you like:
- Nonbinary rep.
- Ex-best friends to lovers
- “Oops, I raised the dead.”
- Grounded fantasy in an alternate USA
- Awesome sibling relationships
Katie Bucklein started writing at the age of twelve when a friend challenged her to a dare: who could finish writing a novel first? Spoiler alert: Katie won, and has since written contemporary, historical fiction, and dystopian, but found romance and fantasy to be her true love. The middle child of five, she grew up in California, went to high school in Arizona, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree for history in Idaho. Now pursuing a Master’s degree, she spends her days spelunking in museum basements and her nights writing, fueled by music and insomnia.
I’m excited to introduce my new client, Arielle Guevara!
Isn’t Arielle’s artwork beautiful! She has a wonderful story she is currently working on that I’m so excited to read. I adore her passion for the environment and the ocean that she builds into her art and stories.

I’m excited to introduce my new client, Brandi Payne!
Brandi is a kidlit illustrator and author! I love her graphic novel ideas and illustration, she even has a picture book idea that has the cutest little kitty (below). I can’t wait to get their work out there.
Brandi Payne is a designer, illustrator, and cartoonist from the Appalachian Mountains who loves whimsical stories, goofy characters, and colorful worlds. She draws inspiration from old JRPGs and late nights spent making up stories with her sister and friends. Brandi has a Bachelors in Graphic Design from Maryville College but has spent her entire life scribbling comics wherever they’ll fit

THE LEGEND OF KORA meets Netflix’s The Dragon Prince. In this Filipino-inspired middle-grade fantasy, when his twin sister is poisoned after a dangerous quest, Elliot, a homeless kid, will stop at nothing to save her.
After the death of their parents, homeless twins Elliot and Liza travel to the kingdom’s capital to hunt Raven Quests—magical tasks that will earn them money when successfully completed. But the King hates the poor, and after the twins are shunned for their obvious vagrancy, Elliot recklessly hunts down a perilous quest, hoping for a big purse. When Liza is poisoned by a giant and deadly Titan Snake, Elliot seeks the mysterious mage that created the Raven Quests for help. The mage’s motivation isn’t to help, and Elliot will need to choose between saving his sister or his freedom.
